The furnace burner definition
A furnace is referred to as a device that produces heat, utilized not only in the residents for having a declined temperature during the cold but also in industries for several purposes. When consumed in the industries, the purposes include making of steel and offering heat treatments to the materials in order to alter the molecular structure they carry. Burners are generally said to be designed to pull away from the air in a continuous venture action as the fuel blows via the orifice at the starting point of the burner.

How does a furnace burner work?

When either the fuel or air mixture added to the particular machine burns at the end of the process burner, it directs within the tubes and heat exchangers. The heat and flames generated from the hot gases then flow via the heat exchanger that dissipates the heat then into the air that circulates around it. The air is then moved by the supply fan which is placed into the furnace.
“Keeping the furnace burner free from dust, debris and rust can help in preventing the funny smell that comes out as a result of dust burning”
Types of furnace burners
Industrial burners are high in demand due to the advanced technology they carry. In order to learn about such technology, it is wise to learn about their types as below.
- Dual fuel burner
Such a type of industrial burner is seen in the application areas like the tempering furnace, galvanizing furnace and melting furnace. These are designed to control the air mixing via a mechanical process.
- Biogas burner
Widely- known for their durability, reliability and long-lasting life, the biogas burners are designed for gas and not for the burns within the normal natural gas burner. These have been consumed in several industrial applications.
- High-velocity burner
As the name defines high- velocity burners are burners, designed to provide some excessive amount of air which keeps the heat transferred to the load within control. These burners are mainly consumed in the aluminum melting, the kilns heat treatment, and several other similar industries.
- Gas burner
It is referred to as a device, designed to produce a flame to heat up the products from utilizing into further applications. These burners are mainly found in the food industries and various other industrial sectors.
- Oil burner
It is referred to as a heating device which assists in burning the heating oils and various other similar fuels. This has also been defined as a major type of industrial burner as are available in distinctive technical specifications with an aim to meet the demands of the industries.
- Low calorific value gas burner
This is a special type of industrial burner, designed with an aim to heat up the device even in the low flames. Such type is consumed in coal, cortex, blast furnace, and similar other industries.
Application of Industrial burner
With regard to the application of gas burners, these were led to a large number of construction patterns and design principles. A difference is created among the diffusion, double line, injector, combined as well as the gas turbine burners. When it comes to the classification of gas, these are supplied in accordance with the pressure of the gas. The classifications include; low pressure, medium pressure and high pressure (the bandwidth defined for the three as below).
• Low pressure- 0-5 kN/m2 or 0.05 kgf/cm2
• Medium pressure- 5-300 kN/m2 or 0.05-3.0 kgf/cm2
• High pressure- 300 kN/m2 and above or 3.0 kgf/cm2 and above
With regards to the major components of the gas burners, these include the mixer as well as the burner nozzle, both of which comprises of the stabilizing device. As far as the design of the components is concerned, it is entirely in accordance with the function and the operating condition of the burner. When the use of diffusion burner takes places, both air and gas are said to be fed within the combustion chamber. A variety in diffusion burners is organized on the walls of the furnace while the so-called hearth gas burners are placed within the lower part of the firebox, mainly consumed in the boilers. The tubes of the so-called hearth gas burners (that are drilled within several holes) are properly placed over the furnace hearth within the slotted duct lined with the fire brick. The amount of air that it requires is fed via the refractory slotted duct. Where such a device is placed, the combustion of the gas jet comes out from the holes within the tubes and starts-off within the refractory duct, ending within the furnace. These also do not require any forced blast as presents the low resistance. Alongside the length of the combustion front, the diffusion gas burners have much more even temperature.
In comparison to the injection gas burners, the diffusion gas burners require an increased coefficient of excess air. These produce lower heat stresses within the firebox and within the tail of the combustion front, worse conditions take place that ultimately results in the combustion of gas.
The furnace burner manufacturer
Ruichang is a well-reputed burner and boiler company, serving what the client requires within the fabrication and design capacity. We provide quality industrial burners and heating systems for a range of thermal applications within industries such as the petrochemical industry, oil refinery, coal chemical plant. With our environment-friendly equipment, we ensure making the process easier for you.
We are reliable makers of industrial and manufactures customized designs for satisfying the needs of our clients. Cost-efficiency and high-quality are what we offer along with seeking advice. We further believe that preventive maintenance should be performed a few times in a year that includes both cleaning the burner and changing the filters of the furnaces. Although there comes a big difference in furnaces over 10 years ago and today, having them maintained will always make them last longer, i.e. keep them in their actual working position. Have your furnaces checked with the passage of time!
